2014-04-25Globally replace 'base_contains' calls with 'bb.utils.contains'Otavio Salvador
The base_contains is kept as a compatibility method and we ought to not use it in OE-Core so we can remove it from base metadata in future. Signed-off-by: Otavio Salvador <otavio@ossystems.com.br> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2014-01-02Replace one-line DESCRIPTION with SUMMARYPaul Eggleton
A lot of our recipes had short one-line DESCRIPTION values and no SUMMARY value set. In this case it's much better to just set SUMMARY since DESCRIPTION is defaulted from SUMMARY anyway and then the SUMMARY is at least useful. I also took the opportunity to fix up a lot of the new SUMMARY values, making them concisely explain the function of the recipe / package where possible. 2014-01-02Drop empty/invalid BUGTRACKER valuesPaul Eggleton
Setting this value to blank or "n/a" in just a few recipes accomplishes nothing. Signed-off-by: Paul Eggleton <paul.eggleton@linux.intel.com>
2013-06-13latencytop: Deprecate tracing_enabled for tracing_onRoy.Li
tracing_enabled should not be used, it is heavy weight and does not do much in helping lower the overhead. see commmit (Deprecate tracing_enabled for tracing_on 6752ab4a9c30d5411b2dfdb251a3f1cb18aae48) in kernel Signed-off-by: Roy.Li <rongqing.li@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>

2010-08-27Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
