2023-11-13gnomebase.bbclass: Use meson as default buildsystemMarkus Volk
The vast majority of gnome recipes uses meson. Set it as default and override the few recipes that still use autotools. This way we can remove a lot of lines in meta-oe and more important it would not be needed to explicitly set GNOMEBASEBUILDCLASS = "meson" for newly created gnome recipe anymore. 2023-09-02glib-networking: use gnutls backend for TLS socketsRoss Burton
As per upstream: There are hacks in half the tests where this backend doesn't return the expected error code or doesn't work as expected. I do hope to enable this backend by default in the future. For now, it's not there yet. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib-networking/-/commit/8e1d80c1e0fc52d17d08a21946fa4a86ec30e1db [RP: Add note to recipe about reasoning] Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2023-09-02glib-networking: enable build with GnuTLS if PKCS#11 was disabledRoss Burton
If GnuTLS is built without PKCS#11 support then glib-networking will fail to build the tests. Backport a patch to fix this issue. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2023-06-20glib-networking: use correct error code in ptestTrevor Gamblin
The eagain patch is currently using G_IO_ERROR_BUSY as part of the check to retry when the simul_read_thread test fails during ptests, but the actual error code is 27, which corresponds to G_IO_ERROR_WOULD_BLOCK. Change the check so that it looks for the right code. Signed-off-by: Trevor Gamblin <tgamblin@baylibre.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2023-05-22glib-networking add environment variable proxy PACKAGECONFIGRoss Burton
Add a PACKAGECONFIG for the environment variable proxy configuration (http_proxy, etc), and enable by default as this is the fallback provider if you're not using libproxy or gnomeproxy. 2023-05-22glib-networking: fix LICENSE statementRoss Burton

2023-05-07glib-networking: Add test retry to avoid failuresRichard Purdie
In autobuilder testing we regularly see glib-networking ptest fail with a "Resource temporarily unavailable (g-io-error-quark, 27)" error. Add a patch to see if a retry can resolve the issue. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

git.gnome.org is no more. It has ceased to be. It's an ex-git. Please see here: https://about.gitlab.com/2018/05/31/welcome-gnome-to-gitlab/ Note that gitlab does not support git://, only https:// (and ssh). 2016-03-28gio-module-cache: Add class for Gio modulesJussi Kukkonen
The new class uses gio-querymodules tool on postinst and postrm. This regenerates the module cache which is useful to avoid loading modules that are not needed at runtime: If a Gio module is not listed in the cache file it will always get loaded. * Add a postinst-intercept 'gio-module-cache': it runs gio-querymodules using qemuwrapper. This is required because the tool actually loads the modules to generate the cache. * Add a gio-module-cache class that adds postinstall and postrm scripts. In the sysroot population case use the new intercept. * Inherit the new class in glib-2.0, glib-networking and gconf. Fixes [YOCTO #9241].
