Move classes to classes-global or classes-recipe as appropriate to take
advantage of new bitbake functionality to check class scope/usage.

As stated in our top level license files, the license is MIT unless
otherwise stated. Add SPDX identifers accordingly. Replace older
license statementa with the standardised syntax. Also drop "All
Rights Reserved" expression as it isn't used now, doesn't mean anything
and is confusing.

Where there isn't a copyright statement, add one to make it explicit.
Also drop editor config lines where they were present.

As the class handler runs before overrides are actually applied we need
to check both SRC_URI:class-devupstream and SRC_URI, otherwise the
automatic assignment of S="${WORKDIR}/git" for git repositories does
not work if the base recipe uses http: but :class-devupstream has a git://
entry instead.
Also, there's no need to set S:class-devupstream, we can just assign to
S here.

There is uncertainty about the default branch name in git going forward.
To try and cover the different possible outcomes, add branch names to all
git:// and gitsm:// SRC_URI entries.
This update was made with the script added to contrib in this patch which
aims to help others convert other layers.

It is useful to be able to use the class with recipes using BBCLASSEXTEND
for native extensions. This adds the magic required to do that.

This is the result of automated script conversion:
scripts/contrib/convert-overrides.py <oe-core directory>
converting the metadata to use ":" as the override character instead of "_".

This class lets you use BBCLASSEXTEND to add a variant of the recipe that
fetches from an alternative URI (such as git:) instead of a tarball.
For example:
BBCLASSEXTEND = "devupstream:target"
SRC_URI_class-devupstream = "git://git.example.com/example"
SRCREV_class-devupstream = "abcd1234"
This variant will have DEFAULT_PREFERENCE set to -1 so it needs to be selected
to be used, and any development-specific tweaks can be done with the
class-devupstream override, for example:
DEPENDS_append_class-devupstream = " gperf-native"
do_configure_prepend_class-devupstream() {
touch ${S}/README
}
It currently only supports creating a development variant of the target recipe,
not native or nativesdk. The BBCLASSEXTEND syntax (devupstream:target) was
chosen so that support for native and nativesdk can be added at a later date.
Support for other version control systems such as subversion is limited, as
bitbake's automatic fetch dependencies on for example subversion-native are not
generated.
