* insane: Add aarch64 baremetal mappings to the QA arch testAlexandre Belloni2016-11-301-0/+2
Add mappings for aarch64-elf and aarch64_be-elf to binary lookup table which allows for the generation of baremetal toolchains. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
* dpkg: Avoid automatic target architecture detectionAlexandre Belloni2016-08-101-0/+1
dpkg is using a script (dpkg-architecture.pl) to detect the target architecture automatically. Unfortunately, it is using the cross compiler prefix to do the detection and for ARM, oe-core is using <vendor>-linux-gnueabi for toolchains with and without call-convention hard. The script then always detects 'armel' and never gets 'armhf' for call-convention hard. This solves: dpkg: error processing archive evtest_1.32+0+b8343ec112-r0_armhf.deb (--install): package architecture (armhf) does not match system (armel) Errors were encountered while processing: evtest_1.32+0+b8343ec112-r0_armhf.deb Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
* wic: remove intermediate partitionsAlexandre Belloni2015-05-161-0/+8
Remove intermediate partitions that may have been created by a previous wic invocation. Those partitions are causing issues on some systems. In particular vfat partition creation is hanging on mcopy execution on Fedora. * wic: support ontrackdm6aux3 partitionsAlexandre Belloni2015-04-081-0/+2
| | | | | | | | ontrack dm6 aux3 is a type of partition required to be able to boot a Freescale mxs based platform. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* wic: rawcopy: ensure comparison is done on intAlexandre Belloni2015-04-081-1/+1
The size comparison may fail because it is done on strings rather than integers. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* wic: rawcopy: support skippingAlexandre Belloni2015-03-091-2/+9
| | | | | | | | Add support for skipping the beginning of a file with the rawcopy plugin. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
* wic: add fsimage pluginAlexandre Belloni2015-03-091-0/+70
| | | | | | | | The fsimage plugin allows to add an already existing filesystem image in the partition layout. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
* wic: fix fstab generationAlexandre Belloni2015-03-091-2/+3
Commit 0a6668f6e60b4195ff4163c00fc972bacdb27b4b still included some debug and is not working properly as the new fstab is generated too late. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
* wic: add GPT supportAlexandre Belloni2015-02-141-1/+8
| | | | | | | Add GPT partition table support. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
* wic: properly label filesystemsAlexandre Belloni2015-02-141-8/+34
| | | | | | | Use the partition label option, when available, to label the filesystem. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
* wic: fix empty btrfs partitionsAlexandre Belloni2015-02-141-6/+1
| | | | | | | | | btrfs emtpy partition creation is currently not working because of the usage of the non existant variables rootfs ans extra_imagecmd. It also as an incorrect size. * wic: remove useless calls to __write_fstabAlexandre Belloni2015-02-141-4/+4
| | | | | | | | __write_fstab() is already iterating over parts. There is now need to call it fort each parts. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
* wic: allow to configure overhead factor per partitionAlexandre Belloni2015-02-143-3/+18
| | | | | | | | Introduce a new option --overhead-factor to replace IMAGE_OVERHEAD_FACTOR. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
* wic: allow to configure extra space per partitionAlexandre Belloni2015-02-143-10/+17
| | | | | | | | | Introduce a new option --extra-space instead of using IMAGE_EXTRA_SPACE. This is useful for boot partitions where the extra space is often useless or for huge partition where 10MiB may not be enough. * wic: allow creation of partitions not in tableAlexandre Belloni2015-02-144-15/+48
For some architectures it is necessary to reserve space on disk without it being present in the partition table. For example, u-boot on i.mx is placed at an offset of 1kB on the sdcard. While it would be possible to create a partition at that offset and place u-boot there, it would then be necessary to update the default u-boot environment to use partition 2 on the mmc instead of partition 1. * wic: bootimg-partition: Stop removing whole workdirAlexandre Belloni2015-02-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Stop removing the whole working directory as this is also removing eventual previously created partition images, leading to image creation failures. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
* wic: print partition alignment when availableAlexandre Belloni2015-02-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | When printing a partition, the --align parameter was shown when present but not its value. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
* wic: use kB for the partitions sizeAlexandre Belloni2015-02-078-30/+49
Use kB instead of MB for the partition size to get a better granularity. This is needed on some SoC (i.mx, omap) where it is necessary to create partitions as small as 64kB. Keep the backward compatibility by assuming MB when no unit is provided. * matchbox-keyboard: daemonize launchAlexandre Belloni2014-02-172-5/+3
The .shbg extension is not properly supported by the Xsession script provided by xserver-common. See discussion here: https://lists.yoctoproject.org/pipermail/poky/2013-December/009463.html Bug here: https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5546 Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* kernel: use oldnoconfig before yes '' | make oldconfigAlexandre Belloni2014-02-111-1/+3
When using a defconfig, using yes '' | make oldconfig may not result in the correct configuration being set. For example: $ ARCH=mips make qi_lb60_defconfig # # configuration written to .config # $ grep USB_ETH .config CONFIG_USB_ETH=y # CONFIG_USB_ETH_RNDIS is not set # CONFIG_USB_ETH_EEM is not set $ cp arch/mips/configs/qi_lb60_defconfig .config $ yes '' | make ARCH=mips oldconfig [...] $ grep USB_ETH .config CONFIG_USB_ETH=m # CONFIG_USB_ETH_RNDIS is not set # CONFIG_USB_ETH_EEM is not set Using make olddefconfig solves that but we'll use the oldnoconfig alias for backward compatibility with older kernels. $ cp arch/mips/configs/qi_lb60_defconfig .config $ make ARCH=mips oldnoconfig scripts/kconfig/conf --olddefconfig Kconfig # # configuration written to .config # $ grep USB_ETH .config CONFIG_USB_ETH=y # CONFIG_USB_ETH_RNDIS is not set # CONFIG_USB_ETH_EEM is not set Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* wpa-supplicant-2.0: don't exit in pkg_postinstAlexandre Belloni2014-01-161-3/+2
Exiting explicitly in pkg_postinst makes it impossible to use the update-rc.d class in a .bbappend because the link creation is appended to the pkg_postinst script.
