It's not necessary to specify the protocol parameter when it's the default protocol for the fetcher, e.g. the default protocol for git fetcher it git, "protocol=git" isn't needed. The Linux NFC project aims to provide a full NFC support for Linux. It is based on the neard NFC user space stack running on top of the Linux kernel NFC subsystem.
