2020-10-10oeqa/selftest/runtime_test: Exclude gpg directory from pseudo databaseRichard Purdie
Avoid pseudo abort()s like: path mismatch [1 link]: ino 6295376 db '/tmp/oeqa-feed-sign-2mw7z81v/S.gpg-agent.yocto-native' req '/tmp/jwkivmu6'. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2020-08-25oeqa: runtime_tests: Extra GPG debuggingJoshua Watt
This patch enables extra debugging for gpg to try and get more debugging information when [YOCTO #14003] occurs Signed-off-by: Joshua Watt <JPEWhacker@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2020-05-27qemu: enable virglrenderer and glx options subject to 'opengl' DISTRO_FEATUREAlexander Kanavin
Note that to actually use accelerated GL passthrough, there are two options 1) a suitable frontend need to be also enabled - gtk+ and SDL both seem to work well. Previously I struggled to make SDL work, but now it seems fine. 2) it is also possible to render off-screen with -display egl-headless option, and see the output with a VNC viewer (for which, qemu needs to be started with a VNC server): $ runqemu kvm egl-headless publicvnc Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alex.kanavin@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2020-05-07virgl: skip test on Debian 9Alexander Kanavin
Debian 9 has an older version of mesa, where dri drivers do not link against glapi explicitly, which causes problems when they are loaded by newer mesa-native: pokybuild@debian9-ty-2:~$ ldd -d /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/swrast_dri.so |grep undefined undefined symbol: _glapi_tls_Dispatch (/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/swrast_dri.so) undefined symbol: _glapi_tls_Context (/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/swrast_dri.so) compared to Debian 10: pokybuild@debian10-ty-2:~$ ldd -d /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/swrast_dri.so|grep undefined pokybuild@debian10-ty-2:~$ Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alex.kanavin@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2019-12-09oeqa/selftest/runtime_test: split systemd and sysvinit tests outArmin Kuster
This should help debug which part of this selftest is failing. We can not tell which outloop is failing so split the tests into systemd and sysvinit. [YOCTO #13650] Signed-off-by: Armin Kuster <akuster808@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2019-11-04selftest: skip virgl test on centos 7 entirelyAlexander Kanavin
With the sdl frontend, qemu isn't able to even boot fully, so let's skip the test early. Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alex.kanavin@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
2019-09-16runqemu: decouple gtk and gl optionsAlexander Kanavin
This will allow not having to multiply these options for the sdl frontend, instead combining them as needed. Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alex.kanavin@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
2019-07-20runtime_test.py: use track_for_cleanup for temp dirChen Qi
Use track_for_cleanup for temp dir to avoid such temp dir being not cleaned up when something goes wrong, e.g., building image failure. Signed-off-by: Chen Qi <Qi.Chen@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2019-05-09meta/lib+scripts: Convert to SPDX license headersRichard Purdie
This adds SPDX license headers in place of the wide assortment of things currently in our script headers. We default to GPL-2.0-only except for the oeqa code where it was clearly submitted and marked as MIT on the most part or some scripts which had the "or later" GPL versioning. The patch also drops other obsolete bits of file headers where they were encoountered such as editor modelines, obsolete maintainer information or the phrase "All rights reserved" which is now obsolete and not required in copyright headers (in this case its actually confusing for licensing as all rights were not reserved). More work is needed for OE-Core but this takes care of the bulk of the scripts and meta/lib directories. The top level LICENSE files are tweaked to match the new structure and the SPDX naming. 2019-05-09oeqa: Drop OETestIDRichard Purdie
These IDs refer to testopia which we're no longer using. We would now use the test names to definitively reference tests and the IDs can be dropped, along with their supporting code. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2019-03-04selftest: add tests for virgl GL accelerationAlexander Kanavin
Note that the tests require that the host machine has a X display, has mesa development files installed and is able to create OpenGL contexts. Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alex.kanavin@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2018-09-13oeqa/selftest/runtime_test: Ensure we build/use gnupg-nativeRichard Purdie
Without this, we see errors if gpg is missing from the host system for "oe-selftest -r runtime_test.TestImage.test_testimage_dnf". Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2018-09-04oeqa/selftest/runtime_test: Fix ↵Richard Purdie
runtime_test.TestImage.test_testimage_install after ssl changes The test installs socat and expects it to run but assumes all its dependencies are already installed (which includes libssl). Recent changes mean this isn't the case so force libssl into the image in advance to work around this issue for now. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2018-08-30lib/oe/package_manager: turn postinst failure warnings into bitbake failuresAlexander Kanavin
Sumo release provides a transition period so that deferrals to first boot via 'exit 1' can be converted to pkg_postinst_ontarget(). For the next release however, postinst script failures should be treated as such. [YOCTO #12607] Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alexander.kanavin@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2018-06-07oeqa: replace Alex Kanavin's @intel email address with a personal oneAlexander Kanavin
As I will be leaving Intel, this address will no longer be valid, so swap it for my personal one for now. Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alexander.kanavin@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2018-03-12oe-selftest: add a test for failing package post-installation scriptletsAlexander Kanavin
The test runs a scriptlet that has an intentionally failing command in the middle and checks for two things: 1) that bitbake does warn the user about the failure 2) that scriptlet execution stops at that point. The test is run for all three package types: rpm, deb, ipk. Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alexander.kanavin@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2017-12-02oeqa/selftest/runtime_test: simplify postinst testingRoss Burton
Update the packages and file names to reflect the new postinst recipe. Fix a sh syntax error in the run_serial file exists test which was hidden by a logic problem in the status code. Remove the older test_verify_postinst as it's effectively a subset of test_postinst_rootfs_and_boot, and doesn't work: when booting under systemd the strings it searches for are not output to the console, but the test still passes. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
2017-11-08oeqa/selftest/runtime_test: use console in postinst_rootfs_and_bootRoss Burton
Use a console login not SSH for simplicity. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
2017-11-07oeqa/selftest/runtime_test: fix postinst_rootfs_and_bootRoss Burton
This test overrides IMAGE_FEATURES but failed to include package-management, which is essential for postinsts to work under dpkg. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2017-11-05oeqa/selftest/runtime: force empty root password, use helpers to access qemuRoss Burton
2017-09-26selftest/cases/runtime_test: ignore removal errors when cleaning temporary ↵Leonardo Sandoval
gpg directory The high-level method tempfile.TemporaryDirectory give us no way to ignore erros on removal thus use tempfile.mkdtemp instead. Ignoring possible issues on removal is neccesary because it contains gpg sockets that are automatically removed by the system once the process terminates, otherwise the following log is observed: File "/usr/lib/python3.5/shutil.py", line 436, in _rmtree_safe_fd os.unlink(name, dir_fd=topfd) FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'S.gpg-agent.browser' This is the same fix as 7e3a7cd2426feac757def81850dc44156cd0f33e, but this applies to runtime (instead of signing). 2017-08-16oeqa: fix dnf testsMarkus Lehtonen
Rename one dnf runtime test that it will recognized as a python module and thus also found by the oe test loader. Also, fix value of TEST_SUITES in dnf selftest so that all test dependencies are satisfied and the runtime test may be successfully run from there. Signed-off-by: Markus Lehtonen <markus.lehtonen@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2017-08-11oeqa/runtime_test: use subtests in test_postinst_rootfs_and_bootRoss Burton
As this test has two nested loops and actually runs six times, use UnitTest.subTest() so we can tell which instance is failing, and to run all variations instead of failing on the first one. Also set PACKAGE_CLASSES to just the type we need to reduce the verboseness of the output, and consolidate the feature generation to be neater. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
2017-06-23selftest: Add Testopia ID to test casesJose Perez Carranza
Add decorator @OETestID() with proper Tesopia TC ID to the test cases that did not have it set. Signed-off-by: Jose Perez Carranza <jose.perez.carranza@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
2017-06-09runtime-test.py: Split different tests inside selftest.pyHumberto Ibarra
There were two completely different tests inside selftest.py, and the only reason for them to be together was that both needed the same mechanism to execute (run testimage from within selftest) This fixes the design issue and error-prone situation by separating these tests. In add a new module for dnf-runtime and also has an extra time added to running the tests, but it is minimal since the builds reuse data from previuous build. 2017-06-05oeqa/selftest/cases: Migrate test cases into the new oe-qa frameworkLeonardo Sandoval
New framework has different classes/decorators so adapt current test cases to support these. Changes include changes on base classes and decorators. Also include paths in selftest/__init__.py isn't needed because the loader is the standard unittest one.
