2019-06-21parted: change device manager check in ptestJoe Slater
t6001-psep should check for device manager the same way as other ptests for parted -- look for an environment variable. Signed-off-by: Joe Slater <joe.slater@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2019-06-08parted: drop patch for linux <2.6.20 supportRoss Burton
We don't really care about kernels this old anymore, so drop the patch. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2019-06-08parted: swap patches for the commits that landed upstreamRoss Burton
Several of the parted fixes are actually upstream in slightly different form. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2019-05-16gettext/flex/m4/bzip2/gzip/parted/slang/attr: Add make to -ptest packagesRichard Purdie
This solves ptest runtime errors where make was missing causing the ptests to fail. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2018-10-09parted: use update-alternatives for partprobeMax Krummenacher
busybox may also provide a partprobe implementation, so use u-a to allow installing them side by side. If one installs both, busybox and parted, one gets the following error: | ERROR: image do_rootfs: Postinstall scriptlets of ['busybox'] have failed. If the intention is to defer them to first boot, | then please place them into pkg_postinst_ontarget_${PN} (). | Deferring to first boot via 'exit 1' is no longer supported. And the coresponding log.do_rootfs extract: | ... | update-alternatives: Error: not linking ...image/rootfs/usr/sbin/partprobe to /bin/busybox.nosuid since ...image/rootfs/usr/sbin/partprobe exists and is not a link | ... 2017-10-06libparted: Use read only when probing devices on linuxOvidiu Panait
When a device is opened for RW closing it can trigger other actions, like udev scanning it for partition changes. Use read only for the init_* methods and RW for actual changes to the device. This adds _device_open which takes mode flags as an argument and turns linux_open into a wrapper for it with RW_MODE. _device_open_ro is added to open the device with RD_MODE and increment the open_counter. This is used in the init_* functions. _device_close is a wrapper around linux_close that decrements the open_counter and is used in the init_* functions. All of these changes are self-contained with no external API changes. The only visible change in behavior is that when a new PedDevice is created the device is opened in RO_MODE instead of RW_MODE. Resolves: rhbz#1245144 Reference: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1283112 Upstream patch: http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/parted.git/commit/?id=44d5ae0115c4ecfe3158748309e9912c5aede92d Signed-off-by: Ovidiu Panait <ovidiu.panait@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
2017-06-16meta: Drop remnants of uclibc supportRichard Purdie
uclibc support was removed a while ago and musl works much better. Start to remove the various overrides and patches related to uclibc which are no longer needed. uclibc support in a layer would still be possible. I have strong reasons to believe nobody is still using uclibc since patches are missing and I doubt the metadata even parses anymore. 2016-01-22parted: Fix build with uclibcKhem Raj
unlike glibc, uclibc does not have internal APIs implemented for libiconv, so it needs to depend upon libiconv Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2015-08-24parted: set VERSION number same as recipe's versionAjay M
There is a parameter VERSION in workdir Makefile which tells the version number of parted. While running ptest for parted we are getting failure because of VERSION mismatch --snip-- root@qemux86:/usr/lib/parted/ptest# ./run-ptest make: Entering directory '/usr/lib/parted/ptest/tests' make[1]: Entering directory '/usr/lib/parted/ptest/tests' help-version.sh: failed test: --version-$VERSION mismatch FAIL: help-version.sh --CUT-- [YOCTO #8172] Signed-off-by: Ajay M <ajay.gju@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
