2014-01-28unfs-server: Remove unfs-server recipe and patchesJason Wessel
The unfs-server only supports NFS v2 and it is not useful any longer with the advent of 64 bit inodes and the fact that the server has only a 32 bit key for the NFS hash which is hardcoded back to the inode. 2014-01-02Replace one-line DESCRIPTION with SUMMARYPaul Eggleton
A lot of our recipes had short one-line DESCRIPTION values and no SUMMARY value set. In this case it's much better to just set SUMMARY since DESCRIPTION is defaulted from SUMMARY anyway and then the SUMMARY is at least useful. I also took the opportunity to fix up a lot of the new SUMMARY values, making them concisely explain the function of the recipe / package where possible. 2012-08-31nativesdk: Switch to using nativesdk as a prefix, not a suffixRichard Purdie
As discussed on the mailing lists, using a suffix to package names is hard and has lead to many recipes having to do PKGSUFFIX games. Its looking extremely hard to scale nativesdk much further without hacking many recipes. By comparison, using a prefix like multilib does works much better and doesn't involve "hacking" as many recipes. 2011-10-10Allow user mode NFS server to run without rpcbind / portmapJason Wessel
and nfsroot mount without the need to talk to an RPC info server as long as the port numbers for mountd and nfsd are known in advance. This patch updates the qemu startup scripts and the user mode NFS server to have the ability to start without the need to use rpcbind or portmap services. 2010-10-07Update meta-ide-support dependenciesScott Garman
Using poky-qemu with our new tap networking and/or unfs support required too many additional build steps. This updates the meta-ide-support dependencies so all features are built and available to use. Specifically, this adds psuedo-native, qemu-helper-native, and unfs-server-native to the dependency chain for meta-ide-support. This fixes [BUGID #392] Also add poky-gen-tapdevs and remove runqemu-nfs from the qemu-helper-native recipe, and update some qemu control script error messages to suggest building meta-ide-support. 2010-08-27Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
