2014-05-08uclibc: Set MULTILIB_DIR based on baselibRichard Purdie
baselib contains the current "lib" value so pass this into uclibc's configration to allow multilib builds to work correctly. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>
2014-03-17uclibc: Remove iconv.hKhem Raj
We get it from libiconv on uclibc anyway no need to transplant uclibc one Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2013-08-20uclibc: Upgrade to latest on gitKhem Raj
It brings fixes needed for python3 to work on uclibc/64bit targets Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>
2013-07-18uclibc: Build ldd/ldcondif/iconv for main uclibc recipeKhem Raj
Currently these were not building as a result uclibc based systems were missing ldd and any package depending on ldd package were broken since the package was empty. Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>
2013-07-02uclibc: Update to latest git/master versionKhem Raj
Use kernel cfg management infra to manage kconfig fragments. Add fragments for locale and obstrack and enable them by default Drop aplready applied patches Drop DP = -1 Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>
2012-12-03uclibc: fix license segment md5sum boundaryMarko Lindqvist
Replaced incorrect "startline" with correct "beginline" for telling where license segment in file begins. This change has no effect on md5sum as license segments from the beginning of the file. Signed-off-by: Marko Lindqvist <cazfi74@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

To appease bitbake Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2012-06-29uclibc: Separate the bits between uclibc and uclibc-initialKhem Raj
uclibc and uclibc-initial were providing conflicting PROVIDES separate the common bits into logical pieces. Create a common inc file to hold package information and version specific includes so correct logical units can be included in uclibc and uclibc-initial recipes. Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-06-25uclibc: Fix packaging to match the new package orderKhem Raj
This gets rid of some phony rdepends on uclibc-dev being reported Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2012-05-30meta: replace os.system with subprocess.callRobert Yang
Replace os.system with subprocess.call since the older function would fail (more or less) silently if the executed program cannot be found More info: http://docs.python.org/library/subprocess.html#subprocess-replacements [YOCTO #2454] Signed-off-by: Robert Yang <liezhi.yang@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-05-11uclibc.inc: uclibc rtld does support GNU_HASHKhem Raj
Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2012-04-26uclibc SDK not including libpthread_nonshared.aMark Norman
Modified the uclibc PACKAGES list order to ensure the uclibc-dev package is processed before uclibc-staticdev to allow *_nonshared.a libraries to be packaged in the uclibc-dev package. The *_nonshared.a libraries are required by the SDK.
2012-03-14PR bump for all recipes that DEPEND on ncursesScott Garman
The packaging changes to ncurses could break package feeds, so bump the PR on everythong that DEPENDS on ncurses. Signed-off-by: Scott Garman <scott.a.garman@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-03-05meta: Replace bb.data.expand(xxx, d) -> d.expand(xxx)Richard Purdie
sed \ -e 's:bb.data.\(expand([^,()]*\), *\([^) ]*\) *):\2.\1):g' \ -i `grep -ril bb.data.expand *` Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-03-05meta: Convert getVar/getVarFlag(xxx, 1) -> (xxx, True)Richard Purdie
Using "1" with getVar is bad coding style and "True" is preferred. This patch is a sed over the meta directory of the form: sed \ -e 's:\(\.getVar([^,()]*, \)1 *):\1True):g' \ -e 's:\(\.getVarFlag([^,()]*, [^,()]*, \)1 *):\1True):g' \ -i `grep -ril getVar *` Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-01-25uclibc: Dont package all .a in uclibc-devKhem Raj
only *_nonshared.a are to be packaged in uclibc-dev rest can go into uclibc-staticdev Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-01-19uclibc: Upgrade to latest masterKhem Raj

2011-11-26getVar/setVar cleanupsRichard Purdie
Complete the bb.data.getVar/setVar replacements with accesses directly to the data store object. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2011-11-10Convert to use direct access to the data store (instead of bb.data.*Var*())Richard Purdie
This is the result of running the following over the metadata: sed \ -e 's:bb.data.\(setVar([^,()]*,[^,()]*\), *\([^ )]*\) *):\2.\1):g' \ -e 's:bb.data.\(setVarFlag([^,()]*,[^,()]*,[^,()]*\), *\([^) ]*\) *):\2.\1):g' \ -e 's:bb.data.\(getVar([^,()]*\), *\([^(), ]*\) *,\([^)]*\)):\2.\1,\3):g' \ -e 's:bb.data.\(getVarFlag([^,()]*,[^,()]*\), *\([^(), ]*\) *,\([^)]*\)):\2.\1,\3):g' \ -e 's:bb.data.\(getVarFlag([^,()]*,[^,()]*\), *\([^() ]*\) *):\2.\1):g' \ -e 's:bb.data.\(getVar([^,()]*\), *\([^) ]*\) *):\2.\1):g' \ -i `grep -ril bb.data *` Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2011-07-20uclibc: improve packaging granularityPhil Blundell
Put each of the libraries into its own package rather than dumping them all into libc0. This saves ~300kB on the installed size of an i586 micro-base-image and avoids the need to set the hated LEAD_SONAME. Signed-off-by: Phil Blundell <philb@gnu.org>
2011-07-01Drop PRIORITY variableRichard Purdie
As discussed on the mailing list, this variable isn't useful and if wanted would be better implemented by distros using pn-X overrides. This patch executes: find . -regex ".*\.\(bb\|inc\)$" | xargs sed -i '/^PRIORITY = ".*"$/d' against the tree removing the referenced. Thanks to Phil Blundell for the command. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2011-06-30uclibc.inc: Use ARCH_WANTS_{LITTLE|BIG}_ENDIAN to denote endianKhem Raj
ARCH_{BIG|LITTLE}_ENDIAN is governed by ARCH_WANTS_{LITTLE|BIG}_ENDIAN therefore we tame the superior Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2011-06-22uclibc.inc: libsegfault is only RPROVIDED by uclibcKhem Raj
Using ${PN} also means that uclibc-initial gets to provide it which we do not want Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2011-06-14uclibc: remove redundant python codePhil Blundell
This chunk of python code has been around for a while (witness the comment about gcc 3.4.0) and predates the availability of COMPATIBLE_HOST. Rewrite it using a more modern idiom. Signed-off-by: Phil Blundell <philb@gnu.org> Acked-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2011-06-14uclibc: Cleanup the machine dependent config filesKhem Raj
We only have arch specific machine fragments now. Introduce use of KCONFIG_ALLCONFIG and use allnoconfig Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2011-05-27uclibc.inc: Set COMPILE_IN_THUMB_MODE in .config if ARM_INSTRUCTION_SET != armKhem Raj
This will configure uclibc to be compiled in thumb/thumb2 mode Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2011-05-23uclibc: Upgrade to 0.9.32-rc3Khem Raj
Bring in the uclibc recipes from meta-oe they have been well tested by now. Delete 0.9.30.1 recipes Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2010-10-11recipes-core: Cleanup package descriptions and summariesMark Hatle
[BUGID #281] Evaluate and update each package in recipes-core to ensure they have a consistent summary and description. Signed-off-by: Mark Hatle <mark.hatle@windriver.com>

eglibc glibc ncurses uclibc zlib: remove explicit siteconfig Signed-off-by: Jeff Polk <jeff.polk@windriver.com>
2010-09-03uclibc: Add siteconfig cache generationJeff Polk
Signed-off-by: Jeff Polk <jeff.polk@windriver.com>
2010-08-27Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
