2013-03-27psplash_git.bb: fix do_compile by correcting the script pathNitin A Kamble
The recent change in the builddir location is breaking this recipe as it is trying to run a script (make-image-header.sh) located in sourcedir from builddir. As the script does not gets to run, the resulting file is not generated causing error as seen below. This commit fixes the issue, by providing complete path of the script. This commit fixes this build error: ERROR: Error executing a python function in /srv/home/nitin/prj/poky.git/meta/recipes-core/psplash/psplash_git.bb: IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'psplash-tlk-img.h' ERROR: Task 6 (/srv/home/nitin/prj/poky.git/meta/recipes-core/psplash/psplash_git.bb, do_compile) failed with exit code '1' Signed-off-by: Nitin A Kamble <nitin.a.kamble@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2012-02-24psplash: allow building multiple splash executablesPaul Eggleton
Adds a SPLASH_IMAGES variable which you can set to include one or more images (listed in URI form as they would appear in SRC_URI), and an executable will be built for each one, with each executable packaged separately and managed at runtime using the alternatives system. An optional "outsuffix" parameter can be used to specify the suffix for the executable/package name. The images themselves can either be pre-processed image header files (produced using the make-image-header.sh script that comes with psplash), or alternatively you can provide a .png and it will be converted using the aforementioned script on the fly (at the expense of requiring gdk-pixbuf-native at build time). This has been implemented in such a way that you can still just provide your own psplash-poky-img.h in a bbappend and it will work as it did before; the only change being that the psplash executable is provided in a "psplash-default" package rather than in the main psplash package, and an RRECOMMENDS is set up to ensure psplash-default gets pulled in (if you specify your own file or change the outsuffix you will need to either install it separately yourself or add your own RRECOMMENDS relationship.) 2010-08-27Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
