getVar() now defaults to expanding by default, thus remove the True
option from getVar() calls with a regex search and replace.
Search made with the following regex: getVar ?\(( ?[^,()]*), True\)

The previous patches are now included in the upstream 0.7.1 release. Two new
patches are needed, both of which have been submitted upstream:
* The version should report as 0.7.1 not 0.7.0.
* grep didn't print any output due to printf choking on a field width
of INT_MAX/2. When trim is not set we can drop the field width
instead of using a huge default width.
The unstripped toybox binary has moved from "toybox_unstripped" to
"generated/unstripped/toybox".
Additionally, the swapon command is now disabled as it does not support the '-a'
option used by initscripts.

Add a 'initrd' PACKAGECONFIG to disable emission of the plymouth-initrd
package which includes initramfs files for use by dracut. Disabling this will
avoid the runtime dependency on dracut, which is useful if one doesn't need or
want dracut and doesn't want to pull in meta-initramfs.

* set NOAUTOPACKAGEDEBUG to disable automatic creation of -dbg FILES split
* it doesn't work well with our do_split_packages calls and in the end breaks
installing llvm3.3-dbg (e.g. when you enable IMAGE_GEN_DEBUGFS)
* it shows a bit ugly error where multiple messages are written over
each other:
WARNING: [log_check] In line: [ConfiCollected errors:
]
WARNING: [log_check] luneos-dev-image: found an error message in the logfile (keyword 'Collected errors'):

guring gstreamer1.0-libav-dbg.
but the main point is that do_split_packages returns some package
names of packages which in the end aren't created, because there
are no files in them after other -dbg packages eat them all due
to automatic -dbg creation

* If llvm.inc is used for native and nativesdk class packages, the
resulting llvm-config is broken since "${base_libdir}" is prefixed

* Replace "/lib" with "/${baselib}" instead of "${base_libdir}" as

https://github.com/libjpeg-turbo/libjpeg-turbo/blob/1.4.2/ChangeLog.txt
1.4.2
=====
[1] Fixed an issue whereby cjpeg would segfault if a Windows bitmap with a
negative width or height was used as an input image (Windows bitmaps can have
a negative height if they are stored in top-down order, but such files are
rare and not supported by libjpeg-turbo.)
[2] Fixed an issue whereby, under certain circumstances, libjpeg-turbo would
incorrectly encode certain JPEG images when quality=100 and the fast integer
forward DCT were used. This was known to cause 'make test' to fail when the
library was built with '-march=haswell' on x86 systems.
[3] Fixed an issue whereby libjpeg-turbo would crash when built with the latest
& greatest development version of the Clang/LLVM compiler. This was caused by
an x86-64 ABI conformance issue in some of libjpeg-turbo's 64-bit SSE2 SIMD
routines. Those routines were incorrectly using a 64-bit mov instruction to
transfer a 32-bit JDIMENSION argument, whereas the x86-64 ABI allows the upper
(unused) 32 bits of a 32-bit argument's register to be undefined. The new
Clang/LLVM optimizer uses load combining to transfer multiple adjacent 32-bit
structure members into a single 64-bit register, and this exposed the ABI
conformance issue.
[4] Fixed a bug in the MIPS DSPr2 4:2:0 "plain" (non-fancy and non-merged)
upsampling routine that caused a buffer overflow (and subsequent segfault) when
decompressing a 4:2:0 JPEG image whose scaled output width was less than 16
pixels. The "plain" upsampling routines are normally only used when
decompressing a non-YCbCr JPEG image, but they are also used when decompressing
a JPEG image whose scaled output height is 1.
[5] Fixed various negative left shifts and other issues reported by the GCC and
Clang undefined behavior sanitizers. None of these was known to pose a
security threat, but removing the warnings makes it easier to detect actual
security issues, should they arise in the future.

The list of architectures for which to emit feed configurations is now taken
from the DISTRO_FEED_ARCHS variable. The default value for this variable is the
list of architectures which was previously used. Thus in the default case
nothing is changed, but DISTRO_FEED_ARCHS can now be overridden in local.conf.

Toybox is a BSD-licensed alternative to Busybox which may be of interest to a
few people. It's still a work in progress but it already covers a large number
of the basic commands a system needs.
Removing toybox after it has been installed currently bricks the system though
as the postrm script runs after '/bin/toybox' has been removed (so things like
'/bin/ln' become broken links and the update-alternatives script can't run).
Toybox is patched to change the install paths of several utilities to match the
paths used by Busybox. This is needed as update-alternatives from opkg-utils
cannot handle two providers of a given utility which place their links in
different locations. Link locations have so far only been matched with Busybox,
other packages such as coreutils still cause clashes. Therefore, toybox
currently installs cleanly on core-image-minimal but fails to install cleanly on
core-image-full-cmdline.
Hopefully Toybox is still usable for testing in the current state. With further
development of the recipe it should be possible to install and uninstall toybox
cleanly on all core images. With further upstream development it should become a
viable replacement for Busybox.
