2012-10-03fetch2: raise an exception if user specifies protocol=git with http://Paul Eggleton
It is a common mistake to use http:// and protocol=git when attempting to fetch from a git repository using the http protocol; if this is detected then throw an error explaining that you need to use git:// with protocol=http instead. 2012-05-20bitbake/fetch: Spell out which fetcher backends support and recommend checksumsRichard Purdie
There were some hardcoded behaviours in the system for which backends support checksums verses which backends recommend them verses which don't recommend them. This moves the functionality into specific fetchers and then makes the general code generic.
