2020-02-21dnf, libdnf: Ignore if PACKAGE_CLASSES does not have rpmKhem Raj
dnf depends on libsolv, and libsolv does not have and easy way to jusr enable rpmdb support, it either has full rpm or nothing, perhaps it could be improved in libsolv and we can use that but from now we have no other option dnf support only rpm backend and wont work with opkg or dpkg/apt anyway Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2018-06-18dnf: default to disable systemd unitsChen Qi
The services and timers are not useful if a repo is not configured. In OE, we default to have no repo configured. So we default to disable these units. The problem was found by the test_systemd_failed runtime test case. dnf-makecache.service is found to fail. This is due to lack of repo. Note that as this service is started by the dnf-makecache.timer, it's possible that test_systemd_failed passes in case the timer is not started yet. 2017-08-18dnf: fix "Unable to detect release version" warningAlexander Kanavin
The release version was actually working correctly; it only makes the warning work properly. Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alexander.kanavin@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2017-08-16dnf: rrecommend gnupgMarkus Lehtonen
This makes it possible to enable 'repo_gpgcheck' in dnf.conf. That is, do GPG signature check on repository metadata. Without gnupg dnf fails with "error: Invalid crypto engine." [YOCTO #11209] Signed-off-by: Markus Lehtonen <markus.lehtonen@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2017-06-23dnf: update to 2.5.1Alexander Kanavin
Drop 0001-Revert-proper-check-of-releasever-when-using-install.patch as the problem has been solved upstream. Add 0001-Move-releasever-check-after-the-etc-dnf-vars-substit.patch, as the warning for missing releasever is issued prematurely in our case. 2017-04-13Revert "dnf: remove systemd units in nativesdk builds"Ross Burton
nativesdk builds now control the DISTRO_FEATURES (oe-core 731744) so this workaround is no longer required. This reverts commit 415b72ffcbd26e5f3664370d8b2a9b8105fb6342. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
2017-03-30dnf: Use lnr to create relative symlinksSerhii Popovych
Make use of lnr while creating relative symlinks to enable builds on host with old ln that does not support -r option. Cc: XE-Linux <xe-linux-external@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Serhii Popovych <spopovyc@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2017-03-28dnf: remove systemd units in nativesdk buildsRoss Burton
If the DISTRO_FEATURES contain systemd then the systemd class won't delete the units for us. Until the class is fixed to do this automatically, delete them explicitly. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2017-03-17dnf: add /usr/bin/dnf symlink that points to /usr/bin/dnf-2Alexander Kanavin
All documentation refers to dnf binary as 'dnf' yet make install does not create one - it's done by Fedora's spec file when building the rpm. Let's replicate this behavior. 2017-03-13dnf: add a recipeAlexander Kanavin
This is replacing Smart package manager, which is unsupported upstream, and has a growing amount of issues (lack of python 3.x support in particular). We identified dnf as the only feasible replacement. Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alexander.kanavin@linux.intel.com>
